Job Duties:
Plan, organize, and manage activities related to menu planning, food procurement, product testing, product holds and/or recalls, and utilization of USDA commodities; and supervise, evaluate, train, and delegate work to appropriate staff.

Ensure all meals and a la cart foods offered to students comply with federal standards and requirements.

Work with medical authorities and school administration to provide student menus in compliance with documented dietary restrictions, as necessary.

Coordinate menus, supplies, and staffing

Prepare and monitor student meal participation and edit check reports

Regularly review, and remain current on Child Nutrition Regulations, to ensure program compliance

Work with Dean, Business Office, to recruit personnel and monitor professional development and certification requirements for food program staff

Complete annual performance evaluations for assigned staff, including short and long-term goals, and ongoing professional development requirements.

Recommend annual budgetary items to Dean, Business Office

Provide information and assistance to school leadership in completion of program grant applications, program audits, and program budget development

Coordinate the development and implementation of quality assurance processes and FNS site reviews

Perform other duties as assigned, customary to fulfilling the role of this position

Position Physical Demands May Include:

-May exert up to 50lbs of force frequently, and/or 20 lbs of force as needed to perform essential duties of the position.
-Be able to work in heat, cold, damp, and dry conditions
-Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push, pull, and/or stand for extended periods
-Must be able to perform the physical aspects of the job



Overtime Eligibility

This job is not subject to overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act, it is an exempt position.



Evaluation

Performance will be evaluated in accordance with Cornerstone Preparatory Academy's Support Staff Evaluation Rubric.

Requirements

This is for an anticipated full-time Student Nutrition Program Director position for the upcoming, 2026-2027 Academic Year. Contract start and end date for the 2026-2027 Academic School Year is July 1, 2026 - June 30, 2027. This position reports one week prior to instructional staff returning, and remains for one week following the close of the academic school year, in order to complete end-of-year nutrition program close-out activities.



-Associate's Degree -or- Minimum 5 years' experience in Food Service or related field

-Possess, or complete within 90 days of hire, professional development requirements of the Department of Agriculture

-Preferred - Knowledge of FL DOE regulations, State statutes, Federal laws, USDA regulations, as they relate to Food Service


This is a highly-responsible position overseeing the administration, compliance, and operations of the food service program and program staff.
